About the Role

As a Business Development Manager, you’ll be central to our growth strategy. You’ll manage inbound leads, qualify prospects, support sales operations, and source new opportunities aligned with AE’s mission.

You’ll work closely with the VP of Sales, leveraging tools like Slack, GSuite, and HubSpot to manage the pipeline and execute lead-generation initiatives. Your impact will drive long-term partnerships, meaningful client relationships, and consistent revenue growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Qualify inbound leads and handle initial discovery calls
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to manage pipeline and schedule follow-ups
  • Identify and source new business opportunities
  • Develop and run strategic outreach initiatives
  • Engage with startups, agencies, and enterprise clients
  • Use tools like HubSpot, Slack, and GSuite to streamline sales operations
  • Work cross-functionally with product, marketing, and leadership teams
  • Build strong rapport with C-level stakeholders and decision-makers

About You

Experienced and Skilled

  • 5+ years in technology/software sales with proven success
  • Confident closer with strong objection-handling and pipeline conversion skills
  • Organized multitasker who can manage deals at various sales stages
  • Proficient in Slack, GSuite, HubSpot (or similar CRM)

Tech-Savvy and Adaptable

  • Fast learner when it comes to complex tech and software solutions
  • Comfortable with sales automation tools
  • Flexible and responsive to shifting priorities and sales strategies

Impact-Focused

  • Proven track record of building and managing a high-quality sales pipeline
  • Strategic thinker who understands both short-term conversion and long-term business development
  • Skilled at consistently bringing in new, relevant opportunities

A Strong Communicator and Collaborator

  • Excellent communicator, verbal and written
  • Builds rapport quickly with prospects and clients
  • Comfortable engaging C-suite leaders and navigating complex relationships
  • Open to giving and receiving direct, constructive feedback
